What to expect – Electricians in Newton Abbot, Exeter and Torbay.
Want to know what happens if you book a job with us? Whether the project is big or small, here is a breakdown of the process:
- Initial Contact
When you contact us, we’ll ask for some basic information about the job. What you want doing, where you are, the sort of time frame you are hoping for etc.
For the more common jobs, eg fitting a new light fitting, we should be able to provide you with a rough idea on price straight away, but usually, we’ll want to pop out to you to take a look and provide a more accurate quote.
We’ll organise a time that suits you, for our engineer to come out to do a quick site visit. This will allow the engineer to check the state of any current wiring, see what needs doing where, what obstacles there may be and generally get a good indication on how long the work is likely to take. From here, we can provide an accurate, competitive quote.
You will be able to ask any questions you may have or suggest changes to the quote if appropriate.
Once you’re happy with the proposed work and quotation, we will contact you to organise your appointment. We usually try to book all work in as a block to avoid things dragging out too much for you. Very occasionally we may need to split things up if our diary is particularly full, or perhaps you would prefer to have the work done in stages. This will be discussed at the time of booking.
- Sign Off
Once the engineer has completed the work, he will talk you through everything he has done and make sure you are happy with the service provided. You can then both sign off the work and you will be issued with your invoice.
A few points to remember:
- No-body likes unwelcome surprises so we will always inform you of anything that we think may drastically alter your quote – sometimes all is not as it seems, and we can discover all sorts of weird and wonderful things once work has commenced! We will only continue if you are happy for us to do so. It’s also worth noting that occasionally, the engineer may find something that they are legally obliged to rectify before work can continue.
- Have an out of hours emergency? Dial 01626 201102 and follow the instructions.
- We hate mess just as much as you do! We work incredibly neatly and will always clear up after ourselves. We will also do as much as the repair work as we possibly can (aside from perhaps a bit of paint or wallpaper!).
- Most importantly, our focus is you. We want to provide a service that we would be happy to receive ourselves and welcome any constructive criticism that you may feel appropriate, although it is our hope and our belief, that you won’t find anything that we can improve upon 😉
